Xiaomi is already developing its next-generation flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 18 Series. In the past, we have seen numerous leaks about the imaging specifications of the series. Now, in a recent post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is currently being tested with Qualcomm’s unreleased SM8975 chipset, which is widely expected to debut as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is its massive 6.9-inch flat display. This large screen not only enhances the multimedia experience but also provides additional internal space, allowing Xiaomi to pack in high-end components. Prototype units reportedly include a balanced dual-speaker system for improved audio output, along with an upgraded X-axis linear motor. This enhancement is expected to deliver more precise and satisfying haptic feedback, making interactions like typing and gaming feel more immersive.
Apart from the main 6.9-inch screen, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will also feature an innovative rear screen on the camera deco, similar to the previous generation 17 Pro Max.
The device is also rumored to feature a huge 8,500mAh battery, making it the flagship with the largest battery Xiaomi has ever shipped. This ultra-large battery will be paired with 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
