Xiaomi’s next-generation flagship lineup is once again in the spotlight, with multiple leaks suggesting that the Xiaomi 18 series is on track for a September launch in China. According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming lineup will be among the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipsets.

Tipster Digital Chat Station also said that Xiaomi 18 will feature a 6.4-inch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, ultra-narrow bezels, and rounded corners. This would make it one of the few premium Android flagships to offer a truly compact form factor while maintaining flagship-grade specifications.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are tipped to receive more substantial upgrades. According to the leak, both devices will feature new display technologies and next-generation silicon-carbon batteries.
The tipster further claims that Xiaomi has significantly upgraded the peripheral hardware on the Pro models. Camera performance is a major leap as well, with both the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max reportedly featuring dual 200-megapixel camera sensors. This makes the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series a substantial improvement over the current Xiaomi 17 Pro series, which features a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel third sensor.
