Google just released an official update for it’s web browser – Google Chrome for all major platforms. The new update brings many new changes, security improvements, bug fixes, and a new icon which the company announced earlier.
Google Chrome Version 100:
Since it’s launch in 2008, Google Chrome become the fan’s favorite and most used web browser due to it’s simplicity and rendering engine. There are many web browsers at the moment but Google Chrome owns almost 70% of the market share. It is a cross-platform browser and is available for all major operating systems and there are chances that you are reading this article on a chrome web browser.
The company has released version 100 of the browser with many improvements under the hood and a brand-new icon for all platforms. The new icon brings in the modern design language that we see in all operating systems like Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS these days.
Google teased the new logo for it’s web browser a few months back and now it is rolling for everyone globally with version 100. You just need to update your Google Chrome web browser on Android, iPhone, and iPad from the Play Store and App Store to see the new app icon and use version 100 of the web browser.
If you are using the browser on Windows, Mac, or Linux, then the new update will download automatically and you will see your browser restart when it is ready with the new update. Upon restarting the browser, you will see the new icon of the app and the improvements that will come with version 100.
You can also check the version number of your Chrome browser on Windows and Mac by clicking on the three dots at the top right corner, then navigate “Help” which you will see at the bottom of the menu, and click on About chrome. There you will see the Google Chrome version number and whether you are on the latest update or not. If there is any update available then your browser will automatically download and install the latest update on it’s own.
