Steps to unbrick Realme smartphone using SP flash tool

Step 1: Download the SP Flash tool

First, you have to download the SP flash tool from the official website and make sure to download the latest one. As Windows is the most popular operating system, we have discussed the steps for Windows here. The steps for Linux are more or less the same.

Go to the official website to download the SP flash tool

Ensure to disable your anti-virus as many tools such as Windows defender can show that it is malicious. You don’t have to worry as this doesn’t contain any viruses.

Navigate to the downloaded zip file and right-click on that. You have to extract the content to a place that is accessible.

Run the Flash_Tool.exe file as admin

Once it is flashed, make sure to turn on your anti-virus again.

Step 2: Download Firmware and USB drivers for your Phone

Now, you have to download firmware for your smartphone. Make sure that it is a scatter file type ROM.

Once it is done, right-click on the file and extract it to an accessible folder

Once you are done with that, you have to download the USB driver now

Step 3: Download the USB driver

You have to download a compatible USB driver that suits your Realme smartphone. Once you are done downloading the drivers, follow the steps mentioned below for installing them:

Navigate to the downloaded file and right-click on it. Choose extract to extract the file to somewhere accessible

Go to the start menu and there look for device manager. Once found, open it.

Now click on action followed by clicking on add legacy hardware

Click on the Next button thrice, and you will be able to see a have disc option. Click on that option.

You’ll be able to see a popup on your screen. Here, you have to click on browse.

Now browse where you have downloaded the VCOM files

Select the inf file from the extracted folder and click on the Next button

Now, click on the preloader drive option and select the next button two times

Click on the finish button to end the process

Step 4: (If required) Use the Protection Disabling script

Some of the latest Realme products have additional protection to prevent unauthorized flashing by third parties. If you also have this on your device, you must remove this protection to proceed with the method.

Download the bypass package and extract it to an accessible place

Now, download and install python on your computer. ( Note- While installing, make sure to check the ” add python to the PATH option”)

Next, download Lib-USB on your system

While installing the Lib-USB, turn your device off and connect your phone with the computer while pressing + holding the volume up and down button simultaneously.

Now, you will be able to see your device as a Mediatek preloader. Select it, followed by clicking on the install option.

Once done, launch the command prompt and type ” python -m pip install pyusb pyserial json5″

Now, disable the protection, and go to the folder where you have extracted the bypass tool package

Connect your phone in the exact way you connected it before

Double click on the brom.bat file

Once completed, you can see the ” Protection Disabled” result on your screen

Now, close it and move on to the next step.

Step 5: Flash the Stock ROM using the SP flash tool

First, Run the Flash_tool.exe from the SP Flash tools folder

Click on options, and you will find a Check LIB DA match option under the general tab. Uncheck that.

Close the options menu and connect your phone by turning it off and pressing the volume up and down key simultaneously.

Click on choose next to the Download-Agent option and select the “DA_6765_6785_6768_6873_6885_6853.bin” file from the Verified Boot Fix folder that you have within the Bypass folder.

Now, select choose next to the Scatter-loading file followed by selecting “Android Scatter.txt” file from the downloaded ROM folder.

Click on download, and the Firmware should start downloading into your MediaTek smartphone.
