The Firmware Version 2.7, which was released earlier this week by Apple, allows iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models to charge at 7.5W charging on the go. Moreover, these models can get up to 15W charging when the battery is connected to a 20W or a power source that is higher than it.

The first way is to simply attach the MagSafe to the back of your iPhone. The process of firmware update and installation begins automatically. However, Apple revealed that the auto-update process might take up to a week to install.

Connect the MagSafe battery pack to an iPad or a Mac computer with the help of a USB-C cable.
Make sure that you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi.

Connect MagSafe Battery Pack to an iPhone 12 or 13
Go to the Settings of your iPhone
Tap on General
Scroll and select About
Next select MagSafe Battery Pack
You will find the latest version of firmware that is installed on the MagSafe Battery Pack
You can also check your firmware version after installing the latest firmware. The latest version of the firmware is 2.7.b.0. Once you have this version, you will be able to charge your phone at 7.5W using the MagSafe battery pack.
