TikTok is among the most used and downloaded social media apps, and it’s daily active users are continuously increasing. The app started a new trend of short-format video which was copied by many other apps like Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and many others.
Now, there is a report that The ByteDance-owned short-form video app TikTok’s advertising revenue will triple in 2022 and it might exceed the combined revenue of Snapchat and Twitter. This report was published by a research firm Insider Intelligence and it states that TikTok could earn a whopping $11 billion in advertising revenue in 2022.

“TikTok’s user base has exploded in the past couple of years, and the amount of time users spend on the app is extraordinary,” said Debra Aho Williamson, an analyst at Insider Intelligence.
The $11 billion revenue is three times more than the revenue generated by the app in the previous year. Currently, the app has a daily active user of 1 billion globally across all platforms.
The report also states that Snapchat and Twitter are expected to earn $4.86 billion and $5.58 billion in advertisement revenue respectively. The combined revenue of both these social media platforms is still less than the expected advertisement revenue of TikTok which is $11 billion.
Insider Intelligence report stated that more than half of TikTok’s revenue will come from the United States which is expected to be $6 Billion. The app will generate this amount of revenue from the United States despite regulatory concerns over personal data sharing.
