Vivo X200 Ultra Officially Launches in China: A Photography Powerhouse with Cutting-Edge Features

Vivo X200 Ultra

Vivo has finally launched its most anticipated flagship phone, the X200 Ultra, in China, and it’s a powerhouse especially for users who love photography. With cutting-edge industry-first features, an impressive display, and superior hardware, the X200 Ultra presents itself as one of the leaders in smartphone innovation of 2025. Here’s an in-depth look at what this flagship monster has in store.

Vivo X200 Ultra sets the bar of mobile photography. It is based on a triple camera setup inside with two 50 MP sensors Sony LYT-818—the main cam and the ultra-wide, both with large 1/1.28 inches. The primary lens has an adapted 35 mm focal distance and enhanced ZEISS T* finish for energetic pictorial capability and reduced weeds.

What really makes the X200 Ultra unique though is the periscope telephoto lens—a 200 MP ISOCELL HP9 sensor with 3.7x optical zoom and the capability for close-up telemacro. This along with a multispectral sensor for colour accuracy and twin imaging chips (VS1 and V3+), produces amazing photos in any light conditions.

Vivo also has the extra mile with what is a dedicated physical shutter button that offers half-press focusing, full-press capture and a slider for zoom or exposure adjustment – everything that is like the sort of DSLR camera’s shooting experience.

A Cinematic Video Experience

Videographers will appreciate the X200 Ultra’s ultra-level video capabilities. It supports up to 8K recording at 30 fps, and 4K at 120 fps at all focal lengths. What’s more impressive is the 10-bit HDR Dolby Vision and LOG format support in 4K at 60 fps using all lenses. Paired with a CIPA 5.0-level OIS and an adaptive LED flash that changes brightness based on zoom, the video experience is among the best on any smartphone.

More Details

The Vivo X200 Ultra is equipped with a 6.82-inch 2K+ LTPO OLED display known as “ZEISS Master Colour” screen. It is capable of a dynamic refresh rate of 0.1 to 120 Hz, can go as bright as 4500 nits, and post 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, and high-frequency PWM dimming suitable for immersive material consumption.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform combined with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The 6000 mAh BlueVolt Silicon-Carbon battery is compatible with 90W wired and 40W wireless FlashCharge.

Made from an aluminum frame with Armour Glass, the X200 Ultra weighs 229g and is just 8.69 mm thick. It is IP68 and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance, and also has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, high sensitivity X-Axis Linear Motor, and a new Satellite Communication System.
