Xiaomi has already given the official first look of the device, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra introduces a more elegant and streamlined look. The new Starry Sky Green colorway adds a premium, cosmic-inspired finish that sets it apart from previous Ultra models. Just like other Xiaomi 17 Series smartphones, 17 Ultra also opted for a flat frame, giving the device a modern, more precise aesthetic while also improving grip and usability.

One of the most noticeable changes is the introduction of circular volume up and down buttons, which is actually a first for any Xiaomi phone. The camera module has also been refined, with a miniaturized camera deco that looks cleaner while still having advanced imaging hardware.

Just like its siblings, Xiaomi 17 Ultra also has a large R-angle flat display. Despite packing top-tier hardware, Xiaomi has managed to slim the device down to just 8.29mm, making it the thinnest Xiaomi Ultra smartphone to date.

Speaking of Imaging, which is the main highlight of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The device debuts the brand-new Leica Light Hunter 1050L 1-inch sensor, a significant upgrade designed to push smartphone imaging further, especially in challenging lighting conditions.

The main camera is a Leica 1-inch Light Hunter sensor, delivering extremely high dynamic range, with a strong emphasis on night photography. Xiaomi has paired this sensor with LOFIC ultra-high dynamic range technology, allowing the camera to retain more detail in highlights and shadows while reducing noise and improving color accuracy.

Complementing the main camera is a Leica 200MP periscope telephoto lens, which reportedly uses a breakthrough new technology. This setup promises major improvements in long-range zoom, clarity, and light capture, potentially setting a new benchmark for smartphone telephoto photography.

Overall, as per early teasers, Xiaomi 17 Ultra is turning out to be a powerhouse in terms of smartphone imaging. The design ofthe smartphone is a major refresh compared to the previous generation, and the new camera system ushered in a major upgrade.
