According to him, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a 50MP super-large main camera which is likely to be a 1-inch sensor equipped with enhanced In-Sensor Zoom (ISZ) technology. ISZ enables lossless or near-lossless zooming directly using the sensor’s high resolution, eliminating the typical degradation associated with digital zoom. This allows users to zoom in seamlessly while maintaining remarkable image clarity.
What makes this even more exciting is that the ISZ range on the main camera will integrate smoothly with the periscope telephoto lens, delivering a continuous zoom experience across multiple focal lengths.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s secondary powerhouse is a 200MP 1/1.4’ HPB periscope camera, featuring 4×4 RMSC (Re-mosaic Sensor Conversion) for superior image detail and dynamic range. This lens also supports multi-focal-length continuous optical zoom technology and telephoto macro mode. The tipster has also said that both the main camera and periscope will have the Industry’s highest dynamic range value.
