Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Tipped to Launch in the First Week of August

Xiaomi is actively preparing to unveil its next-generation operating system, HyperOS 4, with a tentative release scheduled for the first week of August. While the company has not officially confirmed the launch date, recent leaks suggest that the software is nearing its debut and could arrive sooner than expected. Previously, Mr Lu Weibing, the President of Xiaomi Group has also confirmed that the new system will be released in August.

While HyperOS 4 is not expected to be a complete redesign, it could represent one of Xiaomi’s most substantial interface improvements in recent years. The company appears focused on enhancing visual consistency, improving system fluidity, and creating a more premium look across the entire operating system.

One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the introduction of Liquid Glass-inspired interface elements. The new design is said to feature enhanced transparency effects, layered depth visuals, and dynamic lighting that create a sleek, glass-like appearance throughout the user interface.

HyperOS 4 is also rumored to bring refined system animations, ensuring smoother transitions between apps and menus. Another notable addition could be AI-powered color customization. The feature is expected to intelligently analyze wallpapers, themes, and user preferences to automatically generate matching system-wide accent colors.

The update is also said to introduce modernized icons and a more unified design across Xiaomi’s ecosystem, helping create a cohesive experience between smartphones, tablets, and other connected devices.
