ASUS ROG 6

After the announcement of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, ASUS teased it’s ASUS ROG 6 device with the same chipset. Now, the company has finally brought it’s next generation of gaming phones – ASUS ROG 6 and ROG 6 Pro. Both these devices are designed for gamers and come with top-of-the-line specifications to cater to high-end games. Below are the detailed specifications of both devices.

ASUS ROG 6 and ROG 6 Pro Specifications:

Starting with the display, both these devices come with the same 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 1080*2448 pixels. This display is made by Samsung and it supports a 165Hz fast refresh rate for smooth gaming, 720Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 23ms touch latency, 1200 nits of peak brightness in broad daylight, and 1ms response time.

The display is protected by the latest and toughest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus which we see in almost all flagship devices these days and it also contains a special coating to decrease the friction from hand sweating during long gaming sessions.

Inside the device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU for graphics-intensive tasks. However, there is a difference in the storage capacity of both devices. The standard ASUS ROG 6 comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. While the ROG 6 Pro comes with 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For cameras, there is a 12MP Sony IMX663 camera lens on the front for selfies and video calls on both these devices. On the rear side, is the same triple camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a macro sensor. The Pro model comes with a ROG vision PMOLED display on the rear side while the standard variant comes with a Dual-LED backed ROG logo on the rear side. Both these devices are also equipped with a 6000 mAh battery that supports 67W wired fast charging.

ASUS ROG 6 and the ROG 6 Pro come with GameCool 6 cooling system to keep the device temperature normal while playing heavy games. It runs on ROG UI based on Android 12 out of the box and comes with some cool gaming accessories. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner on both these devices and two ultrasonic Air Trigger 6 buttons on the edges that supports 9 different gestures and can be customizable.

Other specifications include IPX4 rated for water resistance, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type C, and all the sensors.

Pricing:

The standard ASUS ROG 6 is priced at $1025 (€999) and is available in Storm White and Phantom black color options. The Pro Model is priced at $1333 (€1,299) and is available in storm white color only.
