Vivo has today launched it’s much-awaited Vivo X80 series in China with the flagship-grade specifications and Zeiss camera system. There are two devices in the series – The Vanilla Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro which comes with the top-of-the-line specifications including a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Let’s have a detailed look at the specifications of both the devices in the series.
Vivo X80 Specifications:
The Vanilla Vivo X80 is the smaller and the cheaper of the two devices. It boasts a 6.78-inch Fill HD+ Samsung E5 curved AMOLED Display with a 2400*1080 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a variable 120Hz refresh rate. The said display can reach up to 1500 nits of peak brightness and has a DCI-P3 wide color gamut mode. Vivo X80 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

On the back is a trip rear camera system backed by Zeiss optics which is the USP of this device. There is a 50 MP SONY IMX866 RGBW main camera with optical image stabilization and f/1.75 aperture, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a 12 MP portrait sensor with f/1.98 aperture. The camera system offers features such as ZEISS Cinematic Bokeh, ZEISS T* coating, enhanced night mode, ZEISS Natural color 2.0, and more. There is a 32 MP front camera with f/2.45 aperture for video calls and selfies housed in a top-centered punch-hole cutout.

The device is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery which supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. Vivo X60 comes with the OriginOS Ocean on top of Android 12 out of the box. Other specifications include Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, 4G, LTE for connectivity, USB Type-C, and sensors such as gyroscope, proximity sensor, and magnetometer. There is also an under-display fingerprint scanner for added security.
Vivo X80 Pro Specifications:
The Pro model looks very similar to the vanilla model but comes with a few additional features. It has a 6.78-inch 2K Samsung E5 curved AMOLED Display with a 1440*3200 pixels resolution and a variable 120Hz refresh rate. This display can reach up to 1500 nits of peak brightness and supports 10-bit color depth. The X80 Pro is available in two chipsets that is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and MediaTek Dimensity 9000 – both of these chipsets are paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
It also has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP Samsung-made main camera, a 48 MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8 MP periscope lens that supports optical image stabilization. The camera system offers features such as ZEISS Cinematic Bokeh, ZEISS T* coating, enhanced night mode, ZEISS Natural color 2.0, and more. Upfront is a 32 MP selfie shooter in the same center position as the vanilla model.
The Pro model is equipped with a 4700 mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and a 50W wireless fast charging. Vivo X60 comes with the OriginOS Ocean on top of Android 12 out of the box. Other specifications include IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, 4G, LTE for connectivity, dual stereo speaker, vapor chamber liquid cooling system, USB Type-C, and sensors such as gyroscope, proximity sensor, and magnetometer. There is also an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for added security.
Pricing:
The standard Vivo X80 starts at CNY 3699 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, CNY 3999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, CNY 4399 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, and CNY 4899 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage variant.
The Pro model is priced at CNY 5499 for the base 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage with snapdragon chipset, CNY 5999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage snapdragon variant, CNY 6699 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage snapdragon variant, CNY 5999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage with MediaTek chipset, CNY 6699 for the 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage with MediaTek chipset.
