Vanguard zombies Split screen

Released on November 5, 2021, Call of Duty: Vanguard is a first-person shooter video game created by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the 18th game in the overall Call of Duty series and is currently available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5.

The multiplayer, which is the truthful constituent of the game and what keeps players playing for years on end, can be thought of as a glorified tutorial for the campaign, as any seasoned fan of the series knows. Despite having it’s roots in World War 2 and it’s own problems, the COD formula is still enjoyable for leisurely play. The game’s campaign was relatively brief, and it also shared content with Call of Duty: Warzone in it’s multiplayer and zombie game modes.

We know nothing compares to playing a game in the same room as a friend while sitting down and starting it up. In video games, a split screen is a display method that separates gameplay into adjacent areas, usually as two or four rectangular areas. So this enables the presentation of interconnected gameplay and it’s materials on a single display simultaneously. Call of Duty games have always offered split-screen options, and it seems like Sledgehammer Games will keep on that tradition with Vanguard split-screen. Just like the previous games in the genre, the campaign or even Vanguard Zombies split screen have previously trailed in popularity behind this multiplayer option. Unfortunately, none of the multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Vanguard on PC support split screen, even if you’re using controllers rather than a mouse and keyboard. But if you own a copy of Call of Duty: Vanguard on a current-gen or previous-gen Xbox or PlayStation, you can still play on split-screen with a friend. Thanks to it’s easy cross-platform saving feature, you can even import your progress from a PC save file into the game.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Gameplay

There are three primary game modes in this title:

  1. Campaign – The campaign story of Vanguard is told in an intermittent order at various phases in time, and it takes place in 1945, close to the end of World War II’s European theater, with several flashbacks from 1941 to 1944.
  1. Multiplayer – Along with other popular multiplayer approaches, Vanguard’s multiplayer mode also introduces a new game mode to the series, a 2v2 arena mode. Additionally, Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone share content, including a shared progression and inventory system.
  1. Zombies – In Vanguard, developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, the co-op Zombie mode is back. This game is viewed as an addition to the Dark Aether story and a prequel to the events of Black Ops Cold War.

The following multiplayer modes are among the more well-known ones in the many sub-modes that fabricate the Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer mode:

Domination – The goal of Domination is to take control of every control point on the map. To take control of a control point for their team, a player must remain nearby for 10 seconds without being attacked.

Team Deathmatch – It is the least perplexing multiplayer mode in the game and one of the most well-liked modes. The objective of the game mode is to eliminate every member of the opposing team, and the team scoring the most points at the end of the time limit or when it runs out wins. If the game mode is over and two teams have the same kill total or score, a draw can also happen.

Search and Destroy – In this one-sided game mode, the attacking team must either eliminate the opposing team or detonate one of two bomb sites. A player can only have one life per round.

Hardpoint – In this mode, the teams must move quickly to seize a “Hardpoint” on the map and defend it from adversaries. The team’s score rises when they hold the Hardpoint, but no points are awarded if nobody is in the Hardpoint.

Patrol – The concept behind the game involves a moving Hardpoint that will continuously circle the map for 5 minutes. The game ends when one team’s score reaches 200; however, if time runs out, the team with the highest score wins.

Champion Hill – The player’s squad in Champion Hill will face off against seven other squads in a tournament in an arena created by combining four different maps.

Free for All – Every main Call of Duty game, including Vanguard, has a multiplayer mode called “Free for All” that pits each player against the other.

Kill Confirmed – In this game, two teams compete against one another to see which team can score the most kills, similar to Team Deathmatch.

Is Split-Screen Available on Call of Duty: Vanguard?

These days, couch co-op games are hard to come by, and finding one that meets all your requirements can be challenging. However, if everything goes according to plan, the Vanguard split-screen might allow you to enjoy couch co-op as intended. Let’s observe it more closely today since Call of Duty has always had a split-screen mode, and the community generally expects a Vanguard Zombies split screen mode along with other styles.

  • Campaign Split-Screen

Although Call of Duty: Vanguard borrows heavily from Call of Duty: World at War, which first made a split-screen playable campaign available, it’s unfortunate that the campaign mode is not split-screen compatible. The campaign cannot be played on split-screen, and you cannot even play it online with a friend because it is designed to be enjoyed alone.

  • Zombies Split-Screen

Another disappointment in this regard is the Zombie mode, which is the one that fans would most desire to be able to play on their couch in split-screen. As Vanguard Zombies split screen mode is not available, online co-op or solo play is available for this game mode even though this Vanguard Zombie mode received a lot of criticism for it’s poor execution.

  • Multiplayer Split-Screen

The situation is different for multiplayer because Call of Duty: Vanguard split-screen multiplayer is playable both locally and online. However, if you want to play online, you must have two online accounts signed in. Additionally, split-screen is only available for team games; free-for-all modes are not supported.

How to Enable Split-Screen in Call of Duty: Vanguard?

Although the multiplayer mode on Call of Duty: Vanguard supports the split-screen, it’s only available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Thus, there’s no Vanguard Zombies split screen or any other modes’ split-screen support for PC players.

However, Call of Duty: Vanguard makes it simple to set up the split-screen on the consoles. For those playing COD for the first time, you can immediately enable split-screen by following a few simple steps. Additionally, remember that each player you’re attempting to play with on split-screen will require a separate PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold account to engage in multiplayer.

Split-Screen in Local Multiplayer:

  • First, log in to your Call of Duty: Vanguard account
  • Navigate to the “Multiplayer” option
  • Create a local game by pressing the “triangle” or “Y” button on PlayStation or Xbox gamepad respectively
  • Join a separate “PlayStation” or “Xbox” account on a different controller by “X” or “A”
  • The host player should be able to select any map or mode and load the game with bots

Split-Screen in Online Multiplayer:

  • Log in to your Call of Duty: Vanguard account. Online should be enabled.
  • Go to the “Multiplayer”
  • Join a separate “PlayStation Plus” or “Xbox Live Gold” account on a different controller by “X” or “A”
  • To enter the lobby, the second account must press “X” or “A”
  • Now, the host can start the matchmaking progress

After that, players can enjoy the multiplayer mode in split-screen with every weapon and attachment unlocked to both players, and they are free to use any of them.

Although the older-generation consoles have trouble with split-screen, they can still barely deliver playable performance. But Split-screen multiplayer for Call of Duty: Vanguard runs flawlessly on the new-gen consoles. In COD: Vanguard split-screen, you can invite up to three friends by performing a similar procedure.

Conclusion

Call of Duty included, it used to be almost necessary for any multiplayer game to permit a minimum of two players to divide a screen for entertainment on the same PC or console. But gaming on split screen has virtually disappeared over the past generation. Although, this feature has quickly become outdated. The Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies split screen, or extra split-screen multiplayer modes, appears to be operating without issue. So, if you wish to play a game with or against a friend online or on the same console, refer to this guide to learn everything. After that, hopefully, you’ll be able to enjoy Call of Duty: Vanguard’s split-screen mode as it slowly fades away from the gaming world. All the best!
