- First, open your notepad on your computer and copy and paste the following code

So, if you have installed it in a different location, make sure to change it accordingly.
- Now, launch the VLC media player and click on the media option.
- Next, go to the open capture device option to open the media window.
- In the open media window option, you will need to set the capture mode as DirectShow.
- Next, you will have to set the video and audio device name to be the same as the name of the capture card you have in the device selection.
- Here, you can see the show more options button at the left. Find the edit options box where you will need to paste the code you have copied previously.
- Once you are done with all the points mentioned above, close the streaming program.
- Now, find the VLC shortcut on your computer and right-click on it.
- Select the properties option, followed by going to the target option.
- Here, you will be able to find the target box where you will need to paste the copied code.
- Click the ‘OK’ button to apply the changes to the shortcut.
- Click the VLC shortcut twice. Your capture card will appear in a new window that Discord can stream in live mode.
