For the newer devices and versions of iOS:
- First, tap on the settings icon on the home screen and then scroll down to find out the general tab.
- Click on the general tab and scroll down to find ‘Airplay and Handoff.’
- Click on the option, and a tab named Automatically Airplay to TVs’ feel will now appear on your screen.
- Click on that option, and you will find three other options: never, ask, and automatic.
- To disable the screen mirroring completely, you must select the never option.
How to disable screen mirroring on Android smartphones?
Disabling screen mirroring is quite different in Android devices from iPhones. Below are the steps for that:
Swipe your finger from the top of your screen, where you will find some hidden quick links.
Here, you will find the screen casting icon (a Box with the Wi-Fi logo in the bottom left corner.
You can also go to this option through your settings. The icon of this option is the same.
Once you find this option, you have to tap on it to begin scanning for devices.
Stop the scan by tapping on this icon one more time.
It will ensure that your phone is not connected to any other devices.

If you have an Android device
- First, head to your home screen and look for the screencast or smart view option in the quick links panel that you can see by swiping the top of your screen towards the bottom.
