If your phone is still on when you picked it out of the water the first thing you should do is turn it off without checking or manipulating the device. This is because the water can easily cause a short circuit inside your phone. This can damage the circuit and processor in no time. So never try to turn on your phone without drying it properly.
Remove the components
The next step is to remove all the detachable components. This includes the shell, battery, SIM card, SD card, etc. Removable these things in the shortest possible time and put them to dry. Now move to the next step.
Removing the water
Now the next things you should try to do is removing the water that is contained in your LG phone. For this, you can use a straw with which you can suck the water out from the holes. Try to remove as much water as possible.
Now dry your G7
So you have removed the water, but still, there must be some water drops left inside the inner cover. In order to completely dry your phone, it is recommended to put it at a safe distance in front of a ventilator. The hot air will vaporize the water and will make your phone completely dry.
Reassemble
Once your phone is completely dry, it is the time to reassemble it. Put in the SIM card and the SD card. Now put the battery back in its position and place the cover. Now try to switch on your phone.
Your LG G7 ThinQ will now be working fine. But if you find something wrong with its performance or working immediately turn it off and remove the battery. Take your phone to the nearest LG service center and get it checked by professionals.
