Netflix is a stress buster! After a long day at work, we want to sit quietly and indulge in our favorite series or a good movie. They have a huge library that comprises of series and movies from different parts of the world. Language isn’t a problem because they dubbed in local languages, or they have subtitles. If the program or movie is in a language which you understand, then the subtitles seem to be an unnecessary hindrance on the screen. So, if you want the subtitles gone from your screen then here is what you can do:
How to turn off subtitles on Netflix permanently on Android phone
Open Netflix and play the movie or series that you want to watch
At the bottom of the screen (while the movie/series is playing) you will find Audio & Subtitles – tap on it
You will be provided with a page with options for Audio and Subtitles
Under Subtitles look for Off Subtitles – tap on it. When you do so, a tick will appear beside it indicating that you want the subtitles to be turned off
Now tap on Apply to make the changes. The option screen will save the changes and exit you to the program screen where you can continue watching your movie or series without the subtitles
Turn off subtitles on Netflix on iPhone or iPad
If you are using an iPhone or iPad, then the steps to turn off the subtitles are exactly same as Android. Follow the steps mentioned above to turn off the subtitles for iPhone or iPad.
The step to turn off subtitles is same for most of the devices, including for laptops, both Windows and MacBook. You now have the steps to turn off the subtitles for Netflix. If you don’t want them appearing, just follow the steps above and turn them off.
