The app needed for this is a garage band. Garage band is one of the oldest apple native applications. Follow the steps mentioned below to get your desired ringtone on your iPhone.
For those who have the garage band application installed in your iPhone:
- Open the garage band app and click on the audio recorder tool
- On the audio recorder tool, tap on the loop icon (the second button from the right-hand corner of your screen)
- Then you can go to your files and select your audio file.
(Keep in mind that you can select any audio file that you have in pretty much any format may be mp3 or audio or even your homemade audio you can choose. This will work for any song so you can download from the internet your favorite songs)
- Select it and it’s going to load. Then all you need to do is tap and hold and drag the song to the grey area.
(Now you can customize it if you want to, by picking the correct exact position of the song you wanted to start and to stop by double-tapping the blue indicator and tap and hold and move it.)
- Now it’s just a matter of exporting it. Tap on the arrow pointing down on the top left-hand corner, go to my songs and then tap and hold the song. Go to share >ringtone>continue. You can name it as per your requirement then click on export and it’s done.
- Now you can go to settings and select the ringtone.
For those who do not have a garage band installed:
Open up the app store >go to search> and search for a garage band. You need to open the app with the orange or reddish guitar-like icon. Now you can go ahead and download it.
Open the garage band, it is always in the landscape. Slide to right a few times and you will find the audio recorder tool
Once you have found it, tap on the middle of it and then tap on the blue button on the top middle of the screen.
Now you need to click the third button from your left on the left-hand top corner of your screen then the screen is going to flip.
The next step is to click on the plus sign in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Now tap on the little section which says 8 bars and change it to 30 bars. (which represents a time limit that is 30 seconds)
Next tap on the grey area. You are done. You have successfully set the application
